Illinois Concealed Carry

Our Illinois Concealed Carry License (CCL) class consists of interactive class room instruction and discussion on all the topics mandated by the Illinois State Police (ISP). We encourage class participation, and every effort is made to give students a realistic understanding of the practical implications of the new responsibility they are about to undertake. This course is focused on the new shooter, and introduces them to the principles of using a handgun for personal defense. This course will exceed the requirements set forth by the Illinois State Police (ISP).

Basic Handgun

So, you’ve never shot a gun. Perhaps never held one. Maybe never seen one firsthand. And, you’re not really sure if this is something you’d be interested in anyway. Has all this news about the concealed carry license got your attention? You may just want to learn how to hold, load, shoot and safely store a weapon in case you’re ever in a dangerous situation where you may need to take action. It’s not a lifestyle choice. Rather, it’s a skill you think you should have some basic knowledge and understanding about. Just in case…

Concealed Carry Tactics

This class is designed to give Concealed Carry License holders a practical edge and explore some tactics and options as it relates to actually having to use a pistol in a defensive situation. Dynamic lateral movement and rapid target engagement as well as ruse tactics and options available. Options on how to carry are discussed as well as a survivor mindset.

Intro to Rifle

We offer this one day basic class to introduce students to the capabilities of this weapon system. For students who do not have a rifle we have loaner rifles available. Students will have access to preferred pricing if they choose to purchase a rifle. If you have already purchased this type of rifle, this class will give you a good basic understanding on the level of training needed to be prepared to use this weapon system.

Intermediate Handgun

This class will continue to build on the principles and techniques learned in the previous class, and some new material will be added. We continually revisit the fundamentals and remediate where necessary. At this stage the student should be able to perform at a consistant level on demand, and this class will begin to focus on the finer points of shooting skills development.
